Almost of every kind of recreational activity is possible: sports activities, concert visits, sun bathing at the beach or strolling through pretty towns and villages. The Baltic Sea’s events programme comprises the "Baltic lights” and the worldwide biggest yachtsman's party which is even attended by international top sportsmen.

A visit to Hanse Park in Sierksdorf, Sea Life at beach Timmendorf or ascending lighthouse "Dahmeshöved", make the Baltic coast an attractive and popular holiday area. The Baltic Coast Bicycle Trail goes from Flensburg via Kiel, Heiligenhafen, all around the sunny island Fehmarn until Lübeck-Travemünde - or vice versa – and offers long parts along the blue sea and thus outstanding stops for taking some refreshment.
