Puttgarden
Puttgarden
Almost Scandinavian...

Puttgarden is a quarter of the town Fehmarn on the island bearing the same name. Being located in the federal state of Schleswig – Holstein the district lies in the north of island Fehmarn just opposite the Danish coast.

Puttgarden is known because the ferry to Rødbyhavn in Denmark leaves here.

In the town, the Chapel of Peter and Paul, built in the 12th century, catches one’s eye. Unusual shopping experience offers the Bordershop, a 4 storied swimming shopping centre in the ferry harbour.

Whilst being in Puttgarden, you should definitely do a walk on the dikes. At the sandy beach the whole family will have fun. The shallow beach is ideal for children.
