Idyllic town in the southern Westerwald

This town offers many opportunities to pass your time and to explore. Lovely country vistas in the surrounding landscapes, the Westerwald Forest with its history and tradition, but also future visions make Montabaur a popular destination.

In the historical Old Town’s winding alleys are nice cafés and restaurants in which you can take a break while strolling through town. Elegantly restored half-timbered houses of the 16th and 17th centuries form a picturesque scenery. Imaginative wells, a historical City Hall and the 1000 years old Church „Saint Peter in Chains“ as well as the big market are characteristical for the atmosphere of this town.

Tips to have a good time are included in this brochure that is available also in English, French and Dutch language.
