Augsburg University was founded in 1970 and is thus one of Bavaria’s new and modern universities. Still growing and developing, the university is quite manageable in size with its momentarily 18,000 students. A range of 80 courses is taught at seven faculties of arts and social sciences, natural and technological sciences, law and economics as well as theology.

The range of courses offered meet the line of demand and are sometimes even very unique, which makes Augsburg University attractive for students from all over Germany. Furthermore, over ten percent of the students come from abroad.
