Getting the best of the best to RWTH Aachen University and to think out the future of our industrialized world – that is what RWTH Aachen is aiming at.

German federal and state governments provided a huge boost to targeted development of RWTH Aachen by funding it with € 180 million in the first approval phase. RWTH’s strategy on which the successful Excellence Initiative application was based, has been expanded to form a long-term strategy to strengthen all the fields of the university and enhance their profiles, explains the university on its web-based presentation.

In winter term 2012/13 37,917 students were enrolled in RWTH Aachen, 31.2 percent of them being female. Founded in 1870, RWTH Aachen is well recognized by the industry. Both in national and international rankings RWTH graduates get excellent qualifications.
