Saarbrucken is the capital of the federal state of Saarland. Founded as late as 1909 by the union of Saarbrucken, Saint Johann and Malstatt-Burbach, it is both university town and the federal state‘s only city.

Numerous guided tours with various thematically focus make a walk through town an unforgettable experience. The splendid white castle, old city hall, an old bridge dating back to 1546, Landtag of Saarland, harbour island Saarbrucken, German-French garden with a park railway, Saarbrucken castle with the underneath Kasematten and numerous churches of different architectural style are just some examples of what you can see here.  

Saarbrucken has many pubs with real local flavour, beer gardens and restaurants too, where guests are entertained by very delicious food, good wine and chilled beer.
