Bad Bergzabern
Bad Bergzabern
The small health resort close to France

Bad Bergzabern is a provincial town with approx. 7,600 inhabitants. It is situated in the administrative district of Southern Wine Road in the federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate. In AD 1286 Bad Bergzabern attained town rights. Today it is both a climatic health resort and Kneippheilbad.

Big palace, small streets

Bad Bergzabern’s historical old town houses beautiful patrician buildings. Many small alleys, tiny shops and comfortably furnitured cafés are perfectly made for strolling, shopping and relaxing afterwards. The town‘s pearl, an inn called „To Angel“ accommodates its guests in one of the nicest Renaissance buildings in the Palatinate. The landmark of Bad Bergzabern is the castle of „The Dukes of the Zweibrücken Palatinate“.

France as neighbour

Being centered between the eastern part of the Pfälzer woods and many vineyards in the western end of the Upper Rhine lowlands, Bad Bergzabern is an ideal place for sport and leisure activities. From Bad Bergzabern daily tours to the Alsatian small towns of Weissenburg (Wissembourg) and Hagenau (Haguenau) are easy to manage. Favoured is also a visit to the cactus country in Steinfeld.
