Boltenhagen
Boltenhagen
One of the oldest resorts on the Baltic Coast

Boltenhagen is the second oldest resort at the Baltic Coast in the north of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, and is situated at a wonderful beach of 4.5 kilometres length. Since the 19th century Boltenhagen is a resort preferred by families.

Visitors of Boltenhagen like to take a stroll at the Beach Promenade which was renovated in 2003. It borders at the Spa Park with its fountain. A sight to see is the Church St. Paul with its Storm Flood Memorial built in 1872. Old mansions, nowadays used as hotels, catch the eyes with their wonderful architecture.

The Pier (Seebrücke), opened in 1992, invites to take a barrier-free stroll, but many people prefer to hike along the top of the cliffs which offer beautiful vistas of the Baltic Sea. Many ships start from the Pier for short sight-seeing trips as well as to catch fish out in the sea.

Boltenhagen also boasts of a local diving school with all the technical equipment you could ask for. Another pastime much preferred are Yoga courses which, good weather provided, are held on the beach.

Kids can enjoy a holiday program including a “Pirates´ Walk” and are safe on beaches with life guards. There is also a fun area called “Erlebniswelt” (World of Adventures) which caters to small and bigger children as well.
