Langen
Langen
Tradition and Future

With a population of more than 37,000, Langen is a young city with traditions of its own. It is located centrally within the Rhine-Main Region between Frankfurt and Darmstadt. Historica buildings, a wide range of cultural and leisure activities, social services for all generations, a medical care centre and Asclepius Clinic, a multitude of shopping possibilities, easily reachable recreational areas in fields and woodlands plus a modern economic centre all add up to make Langen such an attractive location.

The city on the banks of the Sterzbach has many agreeable facets. Old half-timbered houses in the historic city centre on the one hand, new residential buildings in the country on the other– Langen always shows its good side. The excellent transport infrastructure makes for short journeys within the Rhine-Main Region. Langen is famed for its lido “Am Waldsee/Forest Lake”, which is also where the starter’s pistol is fired for the Iron Man European Triathlon Championship race, its Ebbelwoifest /Apple Wine Festival, the Schloss Wolfsgarten park and its collection of works of contemporary stained glass art.
