Fasanerie (Pheasant Park) Wiesbaden
Fasanerie (Pheasant Park) Wiesbaden
The Pheasant Park lies at the slopes of the Taunus mountains northwest of Wiesbaden.

This small zoo is a nice destination for a small excursion for children as well as their parents. On a surface area of 25 hectars it harbours lots of pets and local animals like guinea pigs, hares and coneys, wolves, feral cats, sheep and also pigs.

If children visiting the facilities should get bored of all the animals which they are allowed to feed and (according to the species) caress –a not very likely event– a huge playground offers distraction and fun. Also there is a big picknick area to be used in sunny weather.

The Fasanerie can be visited with small children as well since most of the compounds are not very far from each other. Frequent signposts facilitate finding animals you are especially interested in.

The Pheasant Park is opened daily vom 09:00 until 17:00 h (in summer until 18:00 h). Dogs –as a matter of course– are not allowed.
