Very closely to the Castle of Hohenzollern the castle of Lichtenstein is  located. They call it also the „Fairy Tale Castle of Württemberg“. Inspired by Wilhelm Hauff‘s novel "Lichtenstein", the castle was built between 1840 and 1842 in neo-Gothic style near the ruin of castle Lichtenstein. To the castle are belonging an extensive garden, a chapel and a romantic castle court.
