Todtnau Falls

The Todtnau Falls is listed since 1987 and thus naturally preserved. It is actually one of the most beautiful natural monuments in Germany. The head of river Stübenbach lies on a height of 1.386 metres. From there the river winds itself through the wonderful high levelled valley of mount Todtnauberg and falls in two steps over immense granite rocks down to the valley. 300 m away from the upper slope is a monolith, called "treasure stone". The secret of the characters struck into the stone is still today not lifted.
