Wilhelmstrasse offers an atmosphere of luxury and fin de siècle

If you love change, Wiesbaden is the right place for you! The capital of Hessen is an attractive city for shopping thanks to its good mixture of boutiques, exclusive fashion and department stores.

Very special are Wilhelmstrasse, Taunusstrasse and the quarter Quellenviertel, because there you find exclusive offers for demanding buyers. Antiques, extravagant interiors or unique jewellery – next to exclusive restaurants and delis one can plunge into a luxurious atmosphere.

In the pedestrian streets of Kirchgasse and Langgasse traditional as well as new shops offer their merchandise since decades. Lilien-Carré near central station or Luisenforum in the city centre make shopping fun even in bad and rainy weather.

Many cafés and restaurants in the city center invite you to stay and rest. One of the oldest and best known is Café Maldaner, with its old and fascinating interior. Since 1859 it is well known as place where the good old coffee house tradition is still preserved. A historical ambience with comfortable sofas and armchairs let the served delicious coffee taste even better. There is just one drawback: You might have to wait a few minutes until you find an empty table. Café Maldaner is always full.

Every Wednesday and Saturday a weekly market takes place on the Derm Lot (Derm‘sches Gelände) from 7.00 o'clock to 14.00 o'clock. Here you can find fresh fruits and vegetables as well as fragrant spices and flowers.
