Towns like Erfurt and Gotha are known far beyond the region’s borders. The Old Town of Erfurt with Cathedral, church Severikirche and bridge Krämerbrücke is as much worth an excursion as are Gotha and the Palace of Friedenstein.

Thuringia Burgenland in the Geopark of Inselberg is also called „three same“. Dreamlike sceneries, nice hiking trails and various leisure activities assure entertainment and recreation. In this fertile area you’ll find extensive fruit plantations in which you can undertake wonderful walks. If you prefer nature a little bit more wildly then you should visit the National park of Hainich.
