Anhalt-Dessau-Wittenberg
Follow the traces of Luther and others

This region is known as home of Reformation as well as to numerous writers and great wits. It is characterized by many-sided scenery which has undergone an impressive change through times. Today, in the former industrial region are situated both nature reserve Dübener Heide and Fläming, the Dessau-Wörlitz garden empire in the biosphere reservoir „Middle Elbe" and the farthest north wine growing region of Germany.

You can discover the town of Luther, Wittenberg, the baroque provincial town of Oranienbaum, the park town of Wörlitz and the historical significant former residential seats Dessau, Bernburg, Zerbst and Köthen. Small Elbe towns like Aken or Coswig or the Paul-Gerhardt-City of Gräfenhainichen are also worth a visit. Finally, you can in Dessau- Roßlau explore architectural jewels of the Bauhaus time.
