Five Lakes Area
Beautiful area for holidays and residence

Lake Starnberg – Bavaria’s second largest lake

Lake Starnberg is part of the touristic area "Five lake country". It consists of three small lakes, Lake Wörth, Lake Pilsen and Lake Weßlinger, and of two big lakes, Lake Ammer and Lake Starnberg. All derived a long time ago from ice age glaciers from the Alps that extended into the lower lands. After the ice had melted, a water scenery remained which developed over centuries into these single lakes.

Near this wonderful lake at the foothills of the Alps many prominent Germans are living. There are very lovely footpaths and lots of leisure possibilities.

Lake Ammer – Bavaria’s third largest lake

For all those who love untouched nature Lake Ammer is the perfect destination. The shore is generally easy to access and not heavily built-up. In many Bavarian picturesque little villages are cafés and restaurants situated directly at the sea shore. This lake is one of most popular tourism destinations in Bavaria.
