The most beautiful Vineyard Views...

The travel guide MERIAN-live! Discover Germany´s Wine Regions in English has been extended and republished. It now contains the best “Vineyard Views“, which the German Wine Institute (DWI) honoured in 2012 and 2016 in all 13 German wine-growing regions. These viewpoints offer particularly spectacular views of the German wine landscapes with their steep slopes, river valleys and castles amidst the vineyards.

Additionally, the guide describes 52 highlights of wine culture, which are, in a remarkable manner, evidence of the history and tradition of winegrowing, the achievements of the wine industry and the cultural asset wine.

Besides, this compact travel guide recommends, on a near 200 pages, further attractive destinations and offers valuable advice on restaurants, wine estate and vintners‘ cooperatives as well as outstanding festivals and events in every region. Illustrated with numerous colour photographs, this Merian-live! edition alsooffers useful background information with facts and figures about Germany as a wine-growing country. Reports about organic winegrowing and the roundabout 580 young winemakers of Generation Riesling, as well as a comprehensive wine glossary complement the current new edition. For geographical orientation a pull-out map of Germany with all wine-growing regions marked in colour is included, which also shows their main attractions.

The travel guide is, like its German counterpart, available on shop.deutscheweine.de.
