Official Supplier of the Berlin International Film Festival

Wines of Germany (DWI, Deutsches Weininstitut) has become Official Supplier of the Berlin International Film Festival for the eleventh time in a row. The 68th Berlinale will take place from 15 to 25 February 2018. In collaboration with virtually all German wine regions, Wines of Germany guarantees that international guests will enjoy German wines only at all official Berlinale events in the coming year.

The exclusive wine offer comprises more than 20 first-class white wines, red wines and Winzersekt (winegrowers' sparkling wines).

All wines were determined through blind tasting by a group of wine experts which also included the German Wine Queen Katharina Staab.

According to Festival Director Dieter Kosslick, Wines of Germany's long-time support of the Berlin International Film Festival is also very helpful in making Germany more famous internationally as a country that offers premium eating and drinking experiences:

"It’s great to listen to the enthusiasm with which guests of our events talk about German wines again and again. They highly appreciate the great quality of German wines", he points out.

In view of the partnership with Berlinale, Wines of Germany (DWI) will again cooperate with Berlin wine retailers in 2018: Upon presentation of the admission ticket, festival visitors will be granted a discount at selected merchants when buying a Berlinale three-bottle package of German wines
